XLR connectors are becoming increasingly popular with 1/32 slot car racers. They are rugged, easy to connect/disconnect and ensure controller wires are not inadvertently connected to the track incorrectly.
Panel jack XLR connectors can be included in a driver station to permit controllers with XLR male inline connectors to be quickly connected / disconnected.
Typical pinout (check with your local raceway or club):
- Pin 1 - Black
- Pin 2 - White
- Pin 3 - Red
