Shipping policy

Section 1 - General

This Shipping Policy is included within the scope of Slot Car Corner LLC (hereafter referred to as "Slot Car Corner" or "SCC") Terms of Service. Slot Car Corner Terms of Service can be viewed by clicking this link.

Section 2 - Shipping Addresses

Slot Car Corner will only ship to the verified address associated with your credit card or Paypal account - NO EXCEPTIONS.

Section 3 - Shipping Charges

All orders will be shipped using the United States Postal Service (USPS) or United Parcel Service (UPS) depending on the service selected by the Customer. Shipping charges are automatically calculated during the checkout process. The shipping charges are provided directly from USPS or UPS based on total item weight, destination, and a default box size. Slot Car Corner does not make any warranties or representations regarding the accuracy of these third-party provided shipping rates. A small shipping / handling fee is added to the shipping carrier provided shipping charge to cover packaging costs (e.g. boxes, tape, packing material, etc.) and handling.

Section 4 - Delivery Signatures

Slot Car Corner, at it's sole discretion, may require a delivery signature for a shipment.

Section 5 - Expedited Shipping

Slot Car Corner does NOT offer expedited order processing and/or shipping (e.g. overnight) - please plan accordingly to ensure your deadlines can be met. We process orders in FIFO (first in, first out) order. The shipping service you select does NOT change this. Please allow sufficient time for order processing (particularly for custom-fabricated items) and estimated delivery timeframes (see below) to meet your deadlines.

Section 6 - Domestic Shipping

Slot Car Corner ships orders using United States Postal Service (USPS) or United Parcel Service (UPS). USPS shipments are generally picked up daily at approximately 9:30 a.m. EDT Monday through Friday (except holidays). UPS shipment are generally picked up between 11:00 a.m. EDT and 2:30 p.m. EDT Monday through Friday (except holidays). Orders received after the daily dropoff will be shipped the next business day.

Section 7 - Domestic Estimated Delivery Timeframes - General

Please note during checkout USPS and UPS, NOT Slot Car Corner, provide delivery estimates. We have ZERO control over these carrier provided estimates - they are provided to our e-Commerce platform directly from USPS and UPS. As such, Slot Car Corner CANNOT guarantee delivery of a shipment within the estimated timeframes provided by USPS or UPS. Slot Car Corner will not be held responsible for any damages or claims if a shipping carrier fails to deliver a package within the shipping carrier's estimated delivery timeframe.

Section 8 - Domestic Estimated Delivery Timeframes - USPS

USPS does NOT guarantee package delivery in a specified timeframe for Domestic Ground Advantage (formerly First Class) or Priority Mail service ("1 Day", "2 Day" or "3 Day" when checking out and printed on the shipping labels) - they are STRICTLY ESTIMATES. In our experience, items shipped via USPS Priority Mail typically take 2-3 business days to be delivered. Please note the USPS does NOT guarantee delivery in 2-3 business days (occasionally it will take longer). Orders shipped via USPS Ground Advantage are very unconsistent and unpredictable in terms of delivery timeframes. If you are in a rush or need something right away, we do NOT recommend USPS Ground Advantage (use USPS Priority Mail or UPS instead). USPS Ground Advantage shipments typically take 5-7 business days to be delivered but sometimes take much longer. Again, USPS does NOT guarantee delivery in 5-7 business days.

Section 9 - Domestic Estimated Delivery Timeframes - UPS

UPS shipping services that are available during checkout are NOT guaranteed delivery services. UPS has suspended delivery guarantees for these services. In general, UPS 3-Day service will have shorter delivery timeframes (depending on the delivery destination) than UPS Ground service; however, UPS will not provide a refund or other compensation in the event a package takes longer than the estimated delivery timeframe to be delivered (refer to link earlier in this paragraph).

Like USPS shipping options, once Slot Car Corner turns over a package to UPS, we have no control over how UPS routes or prioritizes package delivery.

In our experience, UPS Ground typically takes 2 - 5 business days, depending on delivery location distance from our New Hampshire based store, to be delivered. UPS 3 Day service generally takes 3-4 business days to be delivered. While more expensive than USPS Ground Advantage, it has been our experience that UPS delivery timeframes are more consistent than USPS delivery timeframes for a given shipping option/service and tracking information is updated more frequently.

Section 10 - International Shipping

Slot Car Corner will ONLY ship international orders using USPS or UPS service (depending on the service selected by the Customer during checkout) which includes package tracking. Slot Car Corner will only ship international orders to the verified address associated with your credit card or Paypal account - NO EXCEPTIONS. Signatures will be required on all international orders where the local Postal Service provides this service.

Section 11 - Customs Fees, Import Duties and Tariffs, Local Taxes and Fees

Shipping costs do NOT include any applicable Customs and/or import duties, tariffs, local fees and taxes. The Customer will be solely responsible for payment of any applicable Customs and/or import duties, fees, and taxes.

NOTE: Customs paperwork will be completed in accordance with all applicable U.S. Customs requirements and regulations. This includes accurately documenting the actual purchase price for all items. We will NOT, under any circumstances, falsify Customs paperwork so please do NOT ask us to do so. Further, we CANNOT mark items as "Gifts".
