Offset Crown Gears

Offset crown gears are for use with inline applications where the motor shaft is at a 90 degree angle to the rear axle and the center line of the motor shaft is below the center line of the rear axle.  Offset crown gears are typically used for chassis with offset motor mounts let the motor sit lower which in turn lowers the car's center of gravity (COG).  Offset crown gears generally have hubs made from bronze or aluminum.  Bronze is slightly heavier; however, it is more durable and is less sensitive to lubrication.  Aluminum hubs are slightly lighter but require constant lubrication to prevent premature wear.
