XLR connectors are becoming increasingly popular with 1/32 slot car racers. They are rugged, easy to connect/disconnect and ensure controller wires are not inadvertently connected to the track incorrectly.
Male inline XLR connectors are typically used to permanently replace existing controller connectors (e.g. alligator clips). They can also be used to make an adapter to temporarily convert other types of connectors (e.g. alligator clips) to a male XLR connector.
Typical pinout (check with your local raceway or club):
- Pin 1 - Black
- Pin 2 - White
- Pin 3 - Red
