Usage Tips (FC-130 "Short Can") Motors

Position the motor and pinion as shown (note orientation).  Be sure the pinion bore is positioned over the hole in the frame.  Using the thumbwheel, SLOWLY and CAREFULLY tighten the threaded screw to press the pinion onto the motor shaft.

** Warning **  If the desired position of the pinion requires the pinion to be pressed on beyond the end of the motor shaft, ensure the motor shaft remains lined up with the hole in the frame.  Failure to do this may result in damage to the motor.



Usage Tips (FK-180 "Long Can" Motors

NOTE:  The optional Magnetic Spacer Sleeve is required for slim can and long can motors (FK-180).

You will need the optional Magnetic Spacer to prevent damage to the closed end of motor.  The spacer includes a small magnet to help keep it in place when being used.  The magnet and spacer are shown in the lower right corner of the accompanying picture.


Carefully insert the magnet into the DEEPER pocket in the spacer.


Place the Magnetic Spacer on the threaded screw - the magnet will help keep in in place.


Position the motor and pinion as shown (note orientation).  Be sure the pinion bore is positioned over the hole in the frame.


Using the thumbwheel, SLOWLY and CAREFULLY tighten the threaded screw to press the pinion onto the motor shaft.
